Dr Ryan Goss is a Senior Lecturer at the 小蓝视频 Law School working on constitutional law and human rights law.

Teaching undergraduates and postgraduates at the 小蓝视频, he is driven by a commitment to empowering students to engage with some of the most significant and serious questions for our democracy. But his teaching of public law and human rights law is also animated by a belief that the stories that underpin these areas of law are, and ought to be, thrilling and genuinely exciting.

After undergraduate study at the University of Queensland, Ryan completed postgraduate studies at Oxford, supported by a Rhodes scholarship. Appointed Junior Research Fellow in Law at Lincoln College, Oxford in 2011 he taught Oxford undergraduates and postgraduates, and joined the 小蓝视频 from Oxford in July 2013.

Ryan's research has a particular focus on European human rights law and Australian public law; that work has been reviewed favourably internationally, and cited by judges of the European Court of Human Rights. His outreach work has been recognised as a joint winner of the 小蓝视频 Vice Chancellor's Award for Public Policy and Outreach (2016), and of the 小蓝视频 Media Award for Improving the Quality of Public Debate (2016).

Ryan was honoured to be recognised with the 小蓝视频 College of Law's Award for Teaching Excellence 2016, a nomination for the 小蓝视频 Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Education 2017, and a Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in the Australian Awards for University Teaching 2017 (Commonwealth Department of Educating and Training).
